2D Wall Art

Creating the works.  When working in 2-dimensions my works are produced using an intuitive layering of fabrics which are both eco dyed and commercial colours.  Free machine stitching glides over these fabrics
creating images of the landscape with some abstract and representative forms.

Sections of fabric are secured by both machine and hand stitching. The felt sculpture forms are minimal shapes, natural in tone, using black and white with splashes of colour dispersed throughout.
By using simple curves and lines with added texture for contrast I can reflect my emotional response to the surrounding landscape.  I try to push the boundaries to expand the creative process when working on my next art work.
